“Be your own muse”

Hello there! Went pining looking for inspiration and lost the track of time. I guess it’s true that 1 minute surfing Pinterest is 15 minutes in real life… but I’m here again with the inspiration I was looking for.

Moda Operandi launched a new campaign under the name “Be your own muse” in collaboration with some Gods of the fashion world such as Carolina Herrera. I must confess that I felt kind of silly looking for inspiration everywhere without realizing that inspiration was in front pf the mirror every day!

This clever campaign stand out the importance of self creations of style, wearing clothes that scream who you are and what you want to project to the world instead of wearing a brand or stuff that you don’t die for just because is on trend.

Fall/Winter Novelties from ibride french design studio

Ibride new products, presented in premiere during the last Maison&Objet fair in Paris are just a knock-off , gorgeous to say the least . I personally adore this french design studio, they have a pretty defined design style that somehow becomes timeless, and allow us to enjoy their creations every season over and over again.

Besides their world renowned ceramic collections, now they bring us a wonderful collection fo 8 scarves named ISADORA D,  and i have to tell you, they are so beautiful, can´t wait to have them all !!!

Next Maison and Object Paris 2012 will be held from  20.01.2012  at Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center. I better start saving since today !!!

Lanvin and Pitbull

I must confess I’m a big fan of Pitbull and when I knew Lanvin (that has an special place in my heart) had a mix with his music for the new FW Campaign got shocked!. This is not really a song I’m crazy about but I have to admit it’s awesome!!!  The contrast between the whole look, the models’ attitude and the rhythm of the music makes the concept even better.

The Wallpaper 150 (in the last 15 years)

“The 150 movers, shakers and makers that have rocked the Wallpaper* world in the last 15 years”

Wallpaper, the most important design and trend magazine brought us this amazing issue, the 150. I belive this is a collectible item, because it brings us personalities like Ferran Adriá, Patricia Urquiola, The Campana Brothers and Droog just to mention a few. An amazing  art also comes with the Artist´s Bio, indeed an amazing magazine.

Decorex International 2011 !!! hurry up!

Decorex International 2011 , the british trendsetting event is coming soon,  25-28 september 2011, the love design event will be held in the Royal Hospital Chelsea in London, if you have the chance to go you will see  the latest trends on interior design , and , as they self explain  “unparalleled level of bussiness for months and years to come”

If you love interior design as much as i do, belive me, this events is just as amazing as the Milan Salone Internazionale del Mobile, and event that you just have to visit.

Architect Barbie (still can´t find any Industrial Designer Barbie)

There isn´t any Industrial Designer Barbie… yet ! But we will keep waiting for her. For now, we can all be happy with Architect Barbie :

It even comes with her lovely thick black glasses, blue prints  and a little scale model of her (dream?) house.

The AIA (American Institute of Architects ) and Mattel held a design competition for the architect Barbie, the newest addition to the career-themed “I Can Be” series.  The winner of this Design competition designed a lovely, pink, modern, glass filled and glamorous barbie eco-friendly House : “The four-story Malibu beach house features luxurious open chef’s kitchen, fitness room, and landscaped garden on the rooftop as well as green-lifestyle touches—sourced furniture, solar panels, bamboo flooring, and low flow toilets—throughout the 4,881 square feet. But the fashion-loving doll’s favorite part would be the computerized glass tower closet that runs through all floors”  Read more in this Article of Times online magazine.

Nobody will built this house unless you want to buy the blueprints and do it yourself. Anyhow , we will wait for that to hapen too. 😉

Design Challenge:Save the Week! Jennifer Lopez, another break-up.

How many marriages has Jennifer Lopez had ? Well , let´s see :

Lopez’s first marriage was to Cuban-born Ojani Noa onFebruary 22, 1997. Ended at January 1998

Her second marriage was to her former backup dancer, Cris Judd. The two were married on September 29, 2001, at a home in the L.A. suburbs. Their marriage effectively ended in June 2002, when Lopez began publicly dating Ben Affleck.

Lopez and Anthony married in a quiet home wedding on June 5, 2004 and as we all know it ended just last month.

We are all disappointed and felling a bit betrayed, but hey you know, kind of we expected it. For that reason I have designed the ultimate I don´t care if you ever get married again Jennifer Lopez APP.

This APP works as a Jennifer Lopez face recognition system , every time her face appears on the screen or if her name gets shout somewhere , it immediately will trade it for screen shoots of “The Perfect Marriage Movie “ starring Loretta Young and David Niven. Great design idea.

I really wanted to design something to avoid another hook up that will end into a divorce, but let’s face it, getting married/divorced is a hobby for Jennifer Lopez so, here is the quick sketch for her next quick marriage, a beautiful wedding gown ! This is a beautiful design and i will hate to think that JLo or anyone will only use it once, but hey, it doesn´t really matter, this wedding gown design will last forever as long as Jennifer Lopez ends her marriage as quick as she possibly can.

The work of Yves Marchand & Romain Meffre

The work of Yves Marchand and Romain Meffre leaves me speechless, i have hardly ever seeing this kind of work with other photographers. Ruins in all its splendor.

For those of you who enjoy architecture and fashion, of course have heard the heavy name of Zaha Hadid and her collaboration with Melissa, a brazilian brand which have and speciality : plastic shoes!

 

Now plastic says hello to punk with Vivienne Westwood collaboration named Lady Dragon.
